New:The combined version of the GM 2000 HPS II supersedes both the Ultraport and Monolith models. Just like the older Ultraport mount, the new combined version can be separated into two parts for easy transportation. In addition to its quick locking system for mobile use, the new Combi has an additional locking system for stationary use in observatories. So the Combi is a mount for both types of operation: mobile and stationary!
The GM 2000 HPS (High Precision and Speed) mount reaches a positioning speed of 20°/s with a mean position precision of < 20" and a tracking precision of around 1"/15min (peak to peak).
The GM2000HPS has high-precision absolute encoders on both axes which opens up completely new possibilities. Homing the telescope can be omitted since the mount never loses its orientation, even when the axes are moved manually. Even after a power cut, the alignment does not need to be repeated. The mount can be quickly and simply set up for mobile use. For fixed installation in an observatory, you can rest assured that you will not lose alignment during remote operation.
Key information: Thanks to the absolute encoder, positioning and tracking can be achieved to within one arcsecond without using an autoguider - not worrying about the disadvantage of needing to buy a powered (torque) mount to access this convenience! The dual-axis tracking enables tracking to take place even when it is not precisely orientated also correcting the atmospheric refraction. Furthermore, the GM 2000 HPS is also suited for satellite tracking thanks to the high slew rate of 20°/s
Thanks to the integrated Linux processor, everything can be controlled through the hand-controller without an external PC!

Upgrade: 10micron control box
10Micron has redesigned the hardware of the electronic control box. From now on, all 10Micron mounts will be delivered with the new control box version 3 as standard.
Important new features of the control box V3:
- Powerful motherboard – New ARM-based processor for higher performance and future-proofing.
- High-quality industrial connectors – All power and data connections are equipped with high-quality Binder plugs from Deutschland and offer improved protection against moisture, dust and environmental influences.
- Improved connectivity – A special connection for an external WiFi antenna optimises wireless communication.
- Optimised data interfaces – New RJ ports for LAN, autoguider and GPS ensure reliable signal transmission.
- Precise GPS integration – The GPS module is now connected via a PS2 interface (instead of RJ) and has an integrated PPS signal for high-precision time measurement, ideal for satellite tracking.
- Professional socket/plug for power supply – The previous connection has been replaced by a two-pin Binder plug for 24V DC. A new power cable is included in the scope of delivery.
- Extended AUX interface – 6-pin AUX connection (DIN EN 61076-2-106) – improves control of remote switches and feedback when switching on.
New web interface for all 10Micron mounts
The new control interface is accessible via any web browser – without any additional software. The mount is displayed directly in the local network under its device name.
