A flat field mask creates a white area with a defined brightness. Simply place the mask on your telescope optics and photograph the white area. This so-called flat field image allows you to determine the exact brightness distribution of your optical system and correct the brightness gradient of your astrophotographs during image processing.
The mask should be used under the same conditions and with the same optics as the actual images. The mask is therefore designed for mobile use and can be powered accordingly.
Thanks to LED technology, it is possible to create a truly white surface without any colours. Since the lighting does not flicker, short exposure times are also possible.
