Much of the knowledge about German hunting customs has been lost, some things have stood the test of time, and some new things have been added. This book compares practices, customs and traditions that have changed over the decades.
The purpose of this book is not to criticise laws or regulations, but to recall terms, customs and traditions that were once an integral part of hunting and hunting customs but are no longer relevant or have been superseded or replaced by others. Only those who know the past can understand the present.
The author Gert. G. von Harling, born in Celle in 1945, comes from a family of foresters and hunters and has been a passionate hunter himself for many decades.
