Air filters reduce the aerosols in the ambient air. SARS-CoV-2 / Covid19 and other diseases of the lower respiratory tract are transmitted by, among other things, aerosols or droplets. Air purifiers equipped with H13 HEPA filters can filter these tiny particles out of the air in a room thereby significantly reducing the risk of infection.

A combination of regular ventilation and air purifiers with H13 High Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) filters is the best precaution to reduce the risk of infection in enclosed spaces. HEPA H13 filters filter the tiny aerosols (<5µm) from the air, and improve air quality. CO2 measuring devices are a useful supplement to ventilation.
It is estimated that the SARS-CoV-2 / Covid19 (Corona virus) infection risk caused by the presence of a superspreader to people in a room is reduced by a factor of 6 by the use of air filters with HEPA H13 filter technology.
Control and improve the air quality in your office, home, classroom, etc. with the following measures:
- Correct and regular ventilation / cross ventilation
- CO2 measuring devices / monitors that supplement ventilation
- Air purifier / air filter with H13 or H14 high efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filters
How to calculate the filter performance in m³/h for a given room size:
An ambient air filter should be able to filter the air in a room at least 2x an hour in order to significantly reduce the concentration of aerosols and particles.
For classrooms or other rooms where several people may gather, we recommend that you calculate the air purifier performance requirement as 5 to 6 times the room volume.
