The LEUPOLD VX-7L extends the famous "last 10 minutes"
With the Golden Ring VX-7L, Leupold has realised an old hunter's dream: extending twilight performance. We used high-purity, lead-free lenses of unrivalled quality, which were given a special coating – the Xtended Twilight Lens System – to optimally process the light wavelengths of twilight. This gives you a surprisingly bright and sharp image at dawn and dusk, in extremely poor weather or when heavily overcast , enabling you to take accurate shots.

It is extremely robust, completely waterproof, fog-free and designed for demanding hunting conditions.
The special highlight that distinguishes the VX-7L instruments from the other instruments in the VX-7 series is that they combine maximum brightness with minimum height.
In poor light conditions, a large objective lens on a riflescope can mean the difference between a successful day's hunting and a hunter returning home empty-handed. Of course, this performance has been achieved at the expense of high riflescope mounts or outdated rear stock designs – until now. Leupold's engineers developed the "Light Optimisation Profile" to offer you all the advantages of a large objective lens with a low-
e mounting option. With the LOP , you can mount your riflescope 30 per cent closer to the barrel without any loss of image quality or light transmission.
The lens of the VX-7L has a crescent-shaped indentation; however, the round field of view remains unrestricted and a sharp image is achieved across the entire field of view.
This crescent-shaped recess in the lower part of the lens head forms the so-called "Light Optimisation Profile". This combines the advantages of a large lens for use at dusk or at night with a low mounting option for comfortable shooting with optimal cheek contact on the rear stock.

Thanks to our new, unique XTended Twilight Lens System, you can now extend your hunting time at dusk and dawn. With the VX-7, you get a sharper and brighter image at dusk than with any other riflescope in the world.
SpeeDial™ reticle adjustment with integrated caps: absolute precision, repeatable accuracy, no cap loss. The side parallax adjustment works according to the same system.
Lead-free glass lenses with high light transmission provide the basis for powerful optics and are significantly lighter than conventional lead glass lenses. Unlike standard glass production, they can also be manufactured without environmentally harmful by-products – a small step, but one in the right direction.
The external lens surfaces are given a DiamondCoat 2 multi-coating. This exceeds military standards in terms of hardness and durability and supports light transmission for a brighter and more contrast-rich image.
4x zoom with double spring for heavy-duty use. The double spring design exerts up to 30 percent more holding power on the flip-up system than Leupold's already very robust standard flip-up systems.
Generous eye relief: Thanks to the large eye relief of the VX-7 series, you can acquire your target much faster and easier than ever before and get a complete, sharp image. Even at the highest magnification setting, the VX-7's uncritical eye relief allows for an unusually large range of movement and a complete image with a large, extremely secure eye relief.

An alumina spring cover is also included in the scope of delivery. These lens covers, milled from aluminium, protect your valuable optics. However, the VX-7 also has a thread for other alumina accessories.
The VX-7 features the second generation of the famous water seal, which uses a special filling mixture of argon and krypton. This prevents fogging from the inside during drastic temperature fluctuations better than ever before. Absolute waterproofness is guaranteed.
The extreme fast-focus eyepiece requires only 1.5 turns from stop to stop. Adjustment to your eye is quick and precise. With alumina rubber eyepiece protection.
Thanks to the blackened lens edges, stray light is suppressed and the light is directed to your eye without interference. Distracting light incidence is avoided, sharpness and contrast are increased.
Leupold Ballistics Aiming System: With a special ballistics ring, you can adjust the setting according to the performance class of your cartridges and quickly create useful reference values for hunting situations.
The VX-7 models are made of high-quality 6061-T6 aluminium – which is comparable in quality to materials used in air and space flight – and have a centre tube diameter of 34 mm.
