Kit for a classic armillary sphere, which has been a standard instrument in astronomy for over 2,000 years
The tabletop planetarium allows you to show and explain the movements of the sun, moon, planets and stars above and below the horizon, for every day of the year and for every location on Earth.
Some features:
- Meridian adjustable to all latitudes, from the North Pole to the South Pole
- Ecliptic with all annual positions of the sun, with date and degree scale and the areas of the zodiac constellations and signs
- Hour ring with display of true local time, day and night lengths, and twilight times
- Movable lunar orbit with wandering nodes and the areas where solar and lunar eclipses occur
- Freely movable planetary spheres made of foamed EVA
The kit is made of four-layer construction cardboard and is almost as thick as plywood. The elegant gold print in an antique design with protective varnish ensures that the planetarium is and remains a real eye-catcher.

- 3 round wooden rods, 150 x 2.5 mm (celestial axis)
- 3 discs made of hard PVC, 8 mm (AD) x 2.7 mm (ID) x 0.5 mm (sliding bearings for celestial sphere)
- 4 wire pins, 13 x 1.25 mm, (ecliptic holders)
- 2 hemispheres made of wood, Ø 25 mm with 2.5 mm hole, unpainted (Earth sphere)
- 5 foam rubber spheres, 13 - 20 mm, with slot, unpainted (planetary spheres)
