In brief:
- Ultra-light carbon tripod with lots of accessories!
- Ideal for photography and observation on coasts, lakes or rivers
- Corrosion-resistant feet made of titanium alloy
Carbon tripods from the Athena series have special features that make them ideal for use on the coast or in riverbeds: they are corrosion-resistant, do not allow water or sand to penetrate and, thanks to their red finish, are easy to see if they fall into the water.
In addition, they are very flexible in height and can be adjusted to suit a wide range of situations. This is ensured by multiple leg extensions, the absence of a centre column and a high spread angle. Despite the absence of a centre column, a special hook allows a weight, such as a rucksack, to be attached to increase stability.
The tripod pads are interchangeable so that they can be adapted to a wide range of requirements.
The LH-30 ballhead has a load capacity of 15 kilograms. This is achieved by the large ball diameter of 30 millimetres, which is manufactured with a tolerance of 0.01 millimetres. This allows the ballhead to easily move and securely clamp even heavy loads. The ballhead itself weighs only 310 grams.
The base diameter of the ball head is 47 millimetres and its height is 78 millimetres. It is connected to the tripod via a 3/8-inch photo thread.
100% carbon
All carbon tripod legs from Leofoto are made of 10-layer carbon material. This promises high stability with low weight and, in addition, high corrosion resistance.
Leofoto uses high-quality 6061-T6 aluminium alloy with magnesium and silicon as alloy components for the metal parts. This corrosion-resistant material is characterised by high strength and good toughness. The yield strength is comparable to that of structural steel. All parts are milled from solid material on state-of-the-art CNC machines and are therefore significantly more stable than cast parts. Leofoto makes no compromises here either !
