More about the series Ranger...
This is essentially the LS-254C model, but in a stronger version. The leg segments are thicker, which naturally allows for a higher load capacity with the same maximum working height of 1,270 mm (without ballhead and centre column). The Ranger LS-284C can carry up to 10 kg, despite weighing only 180 g more, at 1,420 g. The pack size of only 530 mm is also convenient. Designed for strength and lightness, the Leofoto Ranger LS-284C carbon tripod is a reliable companion, especially on photo hikes with longer lenses.
The LH-30 ballhead has a load capacity of 15 kilograms. This is achieved by the large ball diameter of 30 millimetres, which is manufactured with a tolerance of 0.01 millimetres. This allows the ballhead to easily move and securely clamp even heavy loads. The ballhead itself weighs only 310 grams.
The base diameter of the ball head is 47 millimetres and its height is 78 millimetres. It is connected to the tripod via a 3/8-inch photo thread.
This version of the ballhead is equipped with a quick-release coupling with clamping lever and a panorama turntable.
100% carbon
All Leofoto carbon tripod legs are made of 10-layer carbon material. This promises high stability with low weight and, in addition, high corrosion resistance.
Leofoto uses high-quality 6061-T6 aluminium alloy with magnesium and silicon as alloy components for the metal parts. This corrosion-resistant material is characterised by high strength and good toughness. The yield strength is comparable to that of structural steel. All parts are milled from solid material on state-of-the-art CNC machines and are therefore significantly more stable than cast parts. Leofoto makes no compromises here either !
