The dew shield is attached using a small permanent magnet that sticks to a magnet on the Dwarf 3 telescope.
However, these two magnets only stick together if their polarities match.
With the Dwarf 3, it can sometimes happen that the magnet is installed upside down. In this case, the dew shield will not hold because the magnets repel each other instead of attracting each other.
If this happens with your dew shield, it is not the fault of the dew shield, but of the Dwarf 3. In this case, please contact our customer service team and we will be happy to help!
