Great kit for beginners.

I feel like anyone who is new to this awesome hobby should pick this kit up, the quality is good, nothing special but nice for a cheap price and you get some needed accessories. The eyepieces are good, the finderscope could be better but it gets the job done just fine. I observed the moon when it was at its full phase. I used the filter and it does minimize eye strain but not for much, it serves to highlight more details on the surface, rather than minimizing brightness.
