Lunt Solar Systems offers blocking filters in four different sizes for use with an Etalon system.
Blocking filters are essential to ensure the safety and functionality of a telescope for solar observation!
Blocking filters are attached to the eyepiece-side end of the telescope and protect against the sun's dangerous radiation. They also prevent annoying double images.
Our Blocking Filters B600d, B1200d and B1800d are permanently installed in a diagonal mirror with T2 (M42x0.75) connection.
The B600s, B1200s, B1800s and B3400s blocking filters are available in a straight extension tube with T2 connection on both sides, including adaptors for 2" barrel adaptors and a tiltable filter mechanism.
Which filter is right for you depends on your telescope and the intended application. Visually, the B600 can be used with telescopes up to a focal length of approximately 540 mm, the B1200 up to 1080 mm, the B1800 up to 1620 mm and the B3400 up to 2880 mm. To ensure that the entire image field is really well illuminated when taking photographs, you should always choose a larger filter.
Lunt Solar Blocking Filters form a unique filter system. We can only guarantee your safety and the functionality of your telescope if these blocking filters are used together with the original Lunt Solar System.
Attention: This product can only be used in combination with a LUNT H-alpha filter!
