This solar neutral density filter from Tiffen, in a special edition to mark its 50th anniversary, is a high-quality filter with a filter factor of 262,144x, which reduces exposure by 18 f-stops. Its density of 5.4 darkens the entire image, allowing you to shoot with a larger aperture or longer exposure time while reducing the risk of overexposure. This allows you to take more detailed sun shots than under normal conditions.
The filter limits infrared and UV light, ensures colour-neutral images and reduces glare thanks to its multi-layer coating.
This filter is specially designed for photography. It is not suitable for direct observation of the sun with the naked eye, even with optical finders.
