Look up at the sky and learn about the planets, stars and constellations. Whether with the naked eye, binoculars or a telescope.
With this book, you will learn about the starry sky. Gradually dive deeper and deeper into space. First, you will learn what our seasons have to do with the stars. Then you will learn to recognise the constellations. You will make a star chart and your own red light lamp and travel to the planets.
Later, you will venture into the deep sky to explore deep sky objects: with binoculars or a telescope, you will find star clusters and observe the Andromeda Galaxy 2.5 million light years away.
Ideally suited for children and young people aged 10 and above.
Author Marcus Schenk has been fascinated by the stars since visiting a planetarium at the age of 15. He is a founding member of the Buchloe Public Observatory in Bavarian Swabia, where he has also been involved in working with children and young people.
