Turn your finder into a guidescope
With this adapter, your 50 mm finder scope can be turned into an autoguiding scope in no time at all. Simply unscrew the eyepiece from the tube and screw this adapter in its place.
Suitable for most 8x50 and 9x50 finders from Omegon, Skywatcher, TS Optics, Orion USA and older Celestron 50 mm finders.
Focusing is carried out directly via the knurled ring on the finder’s objective lens.
The adapter is available in two versions, depending on what you wish to connect:
- The version with a c-mount thread is useful for screwing on a guiding camera such as the Omegon Camera GUIDE 1200 M Mono directly – i.e. if the finder eyepiece is only needed very rarely. With a straight-view finder scope, this must also be done in order to obtain a sharp image.
- The version with a T2 thread allows only cameras with a very short back focus to be focused on a straight-view finder. However, you can combine this adapter with additional parts on an angled-view finder, as these finders have more back focus when the angled view is unscrewed. For example, you can add an eyepiece clamp, a rotating focuser and/or extension tubes, and then switch between a guiding camera and a crosshair eyepiece, for instance.
Treat your finder to this upgrade!
