More about the series EQ-2...
AC 90/900 optics.
This optics is equipped with an achromatic objective. Because of a special combination of two lenses within the objective, most of the colour aberrations can be corrected. Thus, you do not have to face so many disturbing irregularities as usual with common Fraunhofer refractors. The aperture ratio of 1:10 has an additional positive effect.
The EQ-2mount:
This parallactic mount already offers the possibility of aligning optics precisely on the North Star. The correct polar height or geographical latitude can be set for any observation location. With fine movements in the right ascension and declination axes, objects can be adjusted and tracked with great sensitivity, while a counterweight ensures that the optics are precisely balanced. Smaller telescopes sit stably and with low vibration on this mount. The aluminium tripod is extendable and height-adjustable, and a storage tray provides space for eyepieces and other accessories. The second smallest of the EQ mounts is extremely light, compact and fits into almost any travel bag. It is easy to set up for any beginner and can also be used by children.
