Genesis 200 EQ unusable.

Not for beginners! For highly experienced amateurs.
The telescope requires replacing the spherical primary mirror with a suitable parabolic mirror, otherwise it is unusable as a telescope. I can't yet determine whether the secondary mirror needs replacing. The specifications don't specify the resolving power. This is no accident!
The mount also needs some work, and the issues aren't so much with the quality of its execution as with its design. For example, when setting the latitude, the mount hits the latitude adjustment screw! This makes it impossible to set certain latitudes. The mount's latitude locking is very weak; it might be worth replacing the adjustment screw, setting the latitude, drilling a hole, and inserting a pin or screw to secure it. Other screws that simply cannot be turned to the desired angle also need to be replaced. The telescope is identical to the Veber 203/800 previously sold in Russia, but the law there protects consumers from low-quality products, and sales have been discontinued. The telescope is suitable for
1 to be thrown into the trash, or
2 to be used for spare parts, or
3 to undergo very serious and expensive modifications with an unknown result.
