The Taipan portable thermal imaging observation monocular is equipped with a 384 × 288 infrared detector and a 1280 × 960 LCOS display. It supports functions such as observation, highest temperature target tracking, rangefinders, WLAN hotspot, etc. The monocular is mainly used for patrolling, law enforcement, search and rescue, drug and smuggling control, seizure of criminal offences, hiking, travelling and hunting, etc.
