Armasight Helios Thermal Imaging Cameras
These thermal imaging cameras are suitable for long-range observations, but their short close-up range also allows you to search for heat sources at close range. It features the latest FLIR Tau 2 VOx microbolometer core. The binocular view also allows for comfortable observation over long periods of time.
Thermal imaging technology allows use in complete darkness, as it does not amplify the light reflection of objects, but converts the heat radiation into an image. This also allows use in fog, snow, dust and heavy rain. Security agencies and the military in particular are increasingly using these thermal imaging cameras. The elimination of IR emitters, which were often used in classic night vision devices, greatly minimises the risk of detection.
The ability to zoom in digitally on the image allows details to be displayed with an additional 2x, 4x or 8x magnification. The various colour modes allow you to optimally adjust the display to your purposes. The video output allows you to connect an optional video recorder so that you can review your observations afterwards and share them with family and friends. The robust housing made of CNC-milled aviation aluminium alloys is waterproof and, at 900 grams, very light.
Armasight Helios is the latest and most technologically advanced family of bi-eyepiece thermal imaging devices on the market today.
The Helios product line is based on the latest FLIR Tau 2 VOx microbolometer core technology. In this product line, the models are differentiated according to resolution and image clock rate (Hertz). In addition, the models have different focal lengths and front lens diameters
Helios is uncooled and can be used during the day and at night.
Thermal imaging technology allows objects to be recognised through snow, dust, smoke, fog or haze. As the thermal imaging technology does not require an IR illuminator, you are almost invisible during your observation of animals and people.
