ThermTec Hunt 635L Pro LRF – high-performance thermal imaging clip-on with integrated laser rangefinder
The ThermTec Hunt 635L Pro LRF combines a high-resolution thermal sensor with fast 35 mm optics, an integrated laser rangefinder and an exceptionally compact magnesium housing. As an advanced development of the Hunt 635 Pro, this clip-on device offers numerous technical improvements while remaining pleasantly lightweight and easy to handle at just 463 grams.
With its wide field of view, high thermal sensitivity and detailed image reproduction, the Hunt 635L Pro is particularly well suited to demanding observation situations where both overview and reliable recognition of fine details are important.
High-resolution 640-class sensor with excellent thermal sensitivity
At the heart of the Hunt 635L Pro is a modern VOx thermal sensor with 640 × 512 pixel resolution and a 12 µm pixel pitch. With a thermal sensitivity of ≤ 15 mK NETD, the device is capable of displaying even very small temperature differences with a high level of differentiation.
Especially under challenging conditions, such as high humidity or only slight temperature differences between the target and its surroundings, the high sensor sensitivity contributes to a detailed and high-contrast image. The 50 Hz frame rate ensures smooth image reproduction when observing moving targets or panning across the scene.
Fast 35 mm optics with a wide field of view
The 35 mm F1.0 objective lens combines good observation range with a comfortably wide field of view. The field of view is approximately 22 metres at a distance of 100 metres, corresponding to 12.5° × 10°.
This gives the Hunt 635L Pro a well-balanced combination of detail recognition and situational awareness, making it particularly suitable for versatile use in both woodland and open terrain. Under suitable conditions, the detection range is up to 1,800 metres.
Integrated laser rangefinder up to 1,000 metres
The Hunt 635L Pro features an integrated laser rangefinder with a measuring range of up to 1,000 metres. This allows the distance to an observed target to be determined directly without the need for a separate rangefinding device.
The device also includes an integrated ballistic calculation function for additional distance and aiming information.
E-Zoom in clip-on mode
One of the distinctive features of the Hunt 635L Pro is its E-Zoom function in clip-on mode. In addition to the standard image, digital magnification levels of 2×, 3× and 4× are available.
The enlarged image area is displayed as an additional view, allowing selected details to be examined more closely without completely losing the overview of the original image.
High-resolution HD OLED display
The thermal image is displayed on an HD OLED screen with 1920 × 1080 pixel resolution and a pixel pitch of 4.5 µm. The high display resolution supports fine and high-contrast reproduction of the thermal image generated by the 640-class sensor.
This helps maintain a detailed and usable image even when higher magnifications are used on the connected daytime optic. The user interface can also be adapted to the base magnification of the optic being used.
AI-assisted image calibration
The Hunt 635L Pro uses an AI-assisted image calibration system. The device continuously adapts its calibration algorithms to the current environmental conditions, helping to reduce the frequency of shutter calibration.
This results in a more stable image with fewer interruptions caused by automatic calibration processes – a noticeable benefit during longer observation periods.
Fast and intuitive operation
A newly integrated three-position toggle switch allows direct switching between On, Standby and Off. The operating status can therefore be identified by touch even in complete darkness.
The operating concept is complemented by a Bluetooth ring remote control, allowing important functions to be accessed without having to touch the clip-on device itself. With a start-up time of approximately three seconds, the Hunt 635L Pro is also ready for use very quickly.
Clip-on device and thermal monocular in one
In addition to conventional clip-on operation, the Hunt 635L Pro features a dedicated monocular mode. When combined with a suitable separately available eyepiece, the device can therefore also be used as a handheld thermal imaging monocular.
In monocular mode, the controls and menu layout are adapted accordingly, while additional digital zoom functions are also available.
Recording function and 64 GB internal storage
Photos and videos can be recorded directly to the 64 GB internal memory. The Hunt 635L Pro also supports a RAV recording function, which can automatically save video sequences around an event detected by recoil.
Stored photos and videos can be viewed directly on the display or transferred to a compatible mobile device via the Wi-Fi connection.
Lightweight magnesium housing and replaceable battery
Despite its extensive range of functions, the Hunt 635L Pro weighs only 463 grams including the battery. The compact magnesium-alloy housing measures just 137 × 82 × 86 mm and is rated IP67 for protection against dust and water. Power is supplied by a replaceable battery providing up to approximately five hours of operation at 25 °C. With the second supplied battery, the available operating time can be extended accordingly. A standard M52 × 0.75 mounting thread is provided for attachment.
