Nitecore E-Serie
The Explorer series is primarily aimed at outdoor enthusiasts. The top priority: a practical design in a housing that is as compact and lightweight as possible.
To describe the Nitecore EA11 simply as the successor to the EA1 would not even begin to do it justice. As Nitecore's first lamp, the EA11 not only runs on a single AA battery (Mignon 1.5V), but also works with a type 14500 IMR rechargeable battery thanks to its special control electronics. This high-current rechargeable battery differs from normal (and equally sized) AA/Mignon batteries in that it has a nominal voltage of 3.7 V and significantly higher discharge currents with considerably lower internal resistance, which means that the EA11 can deliver a maximum light output of 900 lumens with a total length of just 92 mm! This incredible ratio of size to light output is unmatched by any other torch known to us. As an additional special feature, the EA11 offers a smaller red LED in the reflector, which serves as a standby light, continuous light or flashing signal. A 1.5 V Ni-MH rechargeable battery can also be used.
The other features meet Nitecore's high standards:
- Two switches (on/off and control)
- Cree XM-L2 U2 LED
- Additional red LED in the reflector
- 5 brightness levels
With 14500 IMR rechargeable battery: 900/300/160/70/1 lumen
With AA/Mignon 1.5V battery: 160/90/40/17/1 lumens - Removable clip
- Waterproof according to IPX-8
- Hardcoat anodised aluminium housing
- Coated mineral glass lens

Please note that the IMR battery type 14500 mentioned in the description may only be used in the Nitecore EA11. Only the electronics of the Nitecore EA11 are designed for use with this unprotected high-current battery. Use in other lamps may result in EXPLOSION HAZARD!
