The wall clock with animal sounds is designed for younger children who cannot yet tell the time.

During the day, an animal sound corresponding to the picture on the clock face sounds every hour on the hour. By associating the animal picture with the corresponding animal sound, children can develop a sense of time: it's 5 o'clock when the dog barks!
