Enter the world of astrophotography now – with the new EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC 4K Planet & Deep Sky Astro Camera plus ST-4 autoguider function!
This is truly new: equipped with the new highly sensitive SONY IMX485 Exmor CMOS colour sensor, this astronomy camera delivers amazing image results even with simple telescope equipment thanks to extremely short exposure times. This ultra-modern camera can also be used as an autoguider. An allround camera that not only delivers super-sharp, high-resolution planetary images, but is also particularly well suited for capturing faint deep-sky objects such as galaxies, nebulae and star clusters. The high 4K resolution of 3840x2160 pixels guarantees the best possible image results.
Sensor: The secret of the high light sensitivity lies in the new back-illuminated Exmor CMOS sensor from Sony. This increases the quantum efficiency to up to 77% at 533 nm, which means extremely high light output and therefore particularly bright and high-contrast photos. In addition, the particularly low noise level of this new chip generation from Sony ensures exceptionally high brilliance and no active cooling is required. Nevertheless, this astro camera has a sophisticated internal structure made of aluminium for heat dissipation and a fan that can be activated via software. The high native pixel resolution of 3840x2160, in combination with suitable telescopes, allows for beautiful overview shots of the moon as well as detailed planetary images.
Software: The Explore Capture software included in the scope is not only a great way to capture images and videos, but also has a bunch of handy extra features for post-processing and setting up the guide camera.
