The ALccd-QHY 6 is the guiding camera par excellence and is very well suited as an inexpensive entry-level camera for deep sky astrophotography.
This camera can also be cooled with an optional 12V power supply. No cooling is necessary for guiding itself, but for long exposure shots of deep sky objects, the single-stage cooling significantly reduces thermal noise.
The sensitivity of the camera is at the highest level. With a standard SC 200/2000 telescope, you can easily reach magnitude 13 under moderate city skies. That is a good 2 magnitudes more than you would achieve with the same equipment and anALccd-QHY5. A good webcam, on the other hand, is another 1-2 magnitudes behind theALccd-QHY 5.
The scope of delivery includes a USB cable, an RJ-12 cable and a T2/1.25" adaptor.
