At 601 grams, the Professor Optiken Fichtelberg 8x42 is the lightest binoculars in our range. Its compact design makes it the perfect companion for hiking tours, holidays and leisure activities. But the Fichtelberg is also very well suited for hunting applications, for example as an inexpensive pair of stalking binoculars. This small all-rounder impresses with its high light output, excellent image reproduction and outstanding workmanship.
The open micro bridge ensures that the binoculars are easy to grip and comfortable to hold. The optics are equipped with Porro prisms made of barium crown glass (BaK-4) and fully coated lenses, which not only achieve good light transmission values but also very good image reproduction.
The housing of the binoculars is made of sturdy and break-resistant polycarbonate. It has a robust design. The eyepiece cups have a Z-lock and thus an additional centre position. The brown rubber armouring is not only particularly slip-resistant, but also particularly durable. The Fichtelberg 8x42 is filled with nitrogen and is completely waterproof. A nano-coating also ensures that the lenses do not fog up. Like all binoculars from Professor Optiken, the Fichtelberg 8x42 also has a tripod connection.
