The 140/980 Apo features a Doublet optics with SD glass, one lens of which is made of FPL-53. This provides maximum performance. This new, innovative combination results in colour correction that is far above the norm in this price category. To guarantee the typically high quality of APM telescopes, each lens undergoes an interferometric test.
The instrument comes with a solid 3.7" focuser. The focuser is particularly well suited for heavy accessories and offers an absolutely vignette-free image even with large format chips.
With a focal length of 980 mm, the 140 mm SD-Apo is a true allrounder. This instrument will give you great pleasure when observing closely spaced double stars with high contrast or detailed planetary observations. In addition, this new Apo is quite light at only 9.8 kg and can be used on compact mounts.
