With the FRA600 Quintuplet Astrograph, Askar has created a colour-pure apochromat for astrophotography with large sensors!
With these telescopes, great attention has been paid to optical and mechanical quality. FRA stands for refractor telescopes with an integrated corrector element for a flat and corrected image field. The FRA series is mainly used for astrophotography. The ASKAR FRA600 is a 5-element apochromat based on Petzval with a focal length of 600 mm and an aperture ratio of f/5.6. The aperture is 108 mm. The triplet lens contains two special glass elements for colour-free images. The 2-element corrector is permanently installed in the tube and corrects an image circle up to 66 mm in diameter. Once your camera is in focus, you are automatically at the correct distance.
The ASKAR FRA600 was designed for astrophotography. However, thanks to the comfortable working distance, 2" diagonal mirrors can also be connected. This turns the Astrograph into a very nice telescope for astronomical observation and also landscape observation. All common 2" and 1.25" accessories can be connected. For photography, a long adaptor is included, which allows all common cameras to be connected via the M48 thread.
