The AP 130/1000 optics are a Petzval-like quadruplet lens with two ED glass elements and offer excellent control of chromatic and other aberrations.
With its integrated flattener ( field flattening lens), the optics are optimised for astrophotography. You do not need any additional optical accessories! The Apo illuminates a 60-millimetre image circle, has a fine spot diagram with minimal distortion of the edge stars and its central RMS radius is less than 2 micrometres.
Additional features:
- With a focal length of 1000 mm and the large corrected field of view, even extended objects can be captured. However, fine details of objects can also be brought out when using high-resolution cameras.
- The use of different cameras with different flange focal distances is no problem. Simply focus and you are always at the correct distance.
- The focuser has a large adjustment range, so you can find the focus without any problems.
- The working distance or back focus from the 2" barrel is long enough to allow the use of a 2" diagonal mirror. This turns the Flatfield apochromatic refractor into a large-field telescope or even a planetary telescope, depending on the eyepiece used.
