The astrograph for large sensors
Do you take photographs with full-frame or large CCD sensors? Then you'll be familiar with the problem: many lenses are sharp in the centre, but blurry at the edges. The Omegon Pro APO AP 130/650 Quintuplet is in a league of its own. It delivers sharp, pin-sharp stars. Right to the outer corners and across the entire field of view.
The advantages at a glance
- 55 mm image diagonal: the full-frame sensor is evenly illuminated, right into the last corner
- ED Quintuplet optics; five lenses, three of which are made of ED glass. Delivers colour-pure images without annoying colour fringes
- f/5 aperture ratio: For short exposure times and bright images
- Integrated rotation & tilt: Align your subject precisely without having to adjust the mount
- 3.7" reduction focuser; securely holds heavy cameras, the focus remains stable
- Versatile connections: M48, M54, M68 (male & female) for maximum flexibility
- Carrying handle with integrated ArcaSwiss rail for attaching photo accessories
Sharpness for every pixel
Large sensors are unforgiving. The 130/650 Quintuplet is built for just that. The optical correction extends to a 55 mm sensor diagonal. That means pinpoint stars, even in the corners. No blurred edges. No degradation towards the edge of the image. The quintuplet construction with three ED elements makes all the difference. Classic triplets reach their limits here. This five-lens optics corrects spherical aberrations, colour errors and field curvature significantly better. You get a large, usable image field with high contrast.
Triplet ED: Clear imaging at a high level
Three ED lenses form the heart of the telescope and reduce chromatic aberration to a minimum. The images are neutral and without annoying colour fringes around bright stars. The optical quality that makes post-processing easier.
Rotation and tilt: the subject always fits
Is the target object not optimally positioned in the sensor? With the integrated rotation, you can turn the image field into the correct position in seconds. The tilt mechanism gives you additional control. This is particularly useful for mosaics or when the mount is not perfectly aligned.
3.7" focuser: Stable, even with heavy loads
Heavy camera, filter wheel, off-axis-guider: the focuser reliably supports everything. The reduction gear allows for precise focusing. Even in frosty conditions, the position remains stable. The generous back focus allows for different camera setups without the need for constant readjustment.
Connections for every situation
M48, M54, M68 internal and external. This gives you flexibility when attaching cameras, filters and other accessories.
