Product description

More about the series Pro Astrograph...

When material and mechanics work together: The astrograph for advanced users

An astrograph for anyone who wants to work precisely. The Pro Carbon combines a 2" eyepiece extension with 50mm of adjustment, a stable carbon fiber tube, and CNC-machined tube clamps made of aluminum. This means: exact focus, constant imaging, and mechanical stability, even with long exposure times. For astrophotographers who value reliable technology.

Advantages at a glance

  • Precise 2" R&P focuser with 50 mm of adjustment: For pinpoint focusing, so you keep every detail in focus. Even with long focal lengths and heavy camera setups.
  • Carbon fiber tube with extremely low expansion: Ensures a stable focus position and temperature compensation.
  • M56 threaded connection for your camera: Offers a backlash-free and firm connection.
  • CNC-machined tube clamps and prism rail: Guarantee maximum stability with minimal flex. Your setup remains precisely aligned even during long exposure series.
  • Compact design with optimized balance: Also suitable for smaller mounts and enables quick setup. Ideal for mobile applications.
  • Three variants for different sensor formats: Choose the right focal length for your camera, whether APS-C, full frame, or planetary camera.
  • Ideal for ambitious beginners and experienced astrophotographers who value exceptional performance.

The right size for every application

Pro Carbon Astrograph 114/456: The ideal solution for mobile setups. Weighing less than 3 kg, this astrograph is particularly light and compact. Perfect for travel, use on lighter mounts, or spontaneously planned sessions under clear skies.

Pro Carbon Astrograph 154/600: Optimal for large-area deep-sky images. The medium aperture offers a good balance of resolution and image field. Ideal for nebulae, galaxy groups, and extended star fields.

Pro Carbon Astrograph 203/800: For those who want more. The large astrograph delivers high detail, even with small and faint objects. The ideal choice for ambitious astrophotographers with a focus on fine structures and image depth.

Precise focuser for exact adjustment

The 2" Rack & Pinion eyepiece extension with 50 mm of adjustment works without backlash and securely supports heavy equipment. The fine mechanics of the rack and pinion allow the focus to be set with pinpoint accuracy. The integrated M56 connection also ensures a stable, precisely centered camera mounting without adapter play.

Stable focus even with temperature fluctuations

The carbon fiber tube minimizes longitudinal expansion, even with significant temperature changes during the night. This keeps the focus constant, and you don't have to readjust. Especially with long exposures or automated shooting sequences, this is a crucial advantage for consistently sharp images.

Main mirror with highly reflective coating

Every percentage counts! With a reflectivity of 94%, the light yield is significantly higher than that of normal telescope mirrors. This means: Even a few percent more light makes a decisive difference in long exposures and can determine the imaging of faint deep-sky objects.

CNC technology for maximum rigidity (203 and 154 only)

Tube clamps and prism rail are completely CNC-machined. The result: a stable hold, even with longer telescope focal lengths and heavy accessory weight. This keeps your image section exactly in place. A real plus for long exposures and mosaic images.

Compact design, big impact

Despite its robust construction, the Pro Carbon Astrograph remains compact and portable. The short design relieves the mount, improves balance, and saves space during transport. Whether in mobile use or as a permanently installed system: This telescope integrates flexibly into your equipment.

Also good to know:

  • Parabolic mirror design
  • Center marking
  • Adjustment screws
  • BK-7 glass
  • Collimation screws, even on the smallest model
