Tecnosky Quadruplet Apo AG70 V2 - an extremely handy astrograph!
Nowadays, full-frame digital SLR cameras (DSLRs) are quite affordable, and new, fast and highly corrected apochromats like this one are appearing on the market to match them, as they can fully cover the full-frame capabilities of a DSLR camera. The AG70 Astrograph from Tecnosky offers a nearly perfectly corrected and fully illuminated field thanks to its quadruplet design and an aperture ratio of f/5. The optical design by Petzval with Lanthanum glass and FPL-53 elements guarantees an illuminated field of more than 45 mm with very fine stars and no chromatic aberration even at the edge!
All optical elements are FMC-treated ("fully multi-coated") and the interior of the tube has a series of baffles to eliminate unwanted reflections. Although it is a very small and compact tube, it is equipped with a new 2.5" magnesium alloy rack and pinion focuser that holds accessories up to 3 kg without tilting!
The 2.5" focuser is fully rotatable and has an M48 x 0.75 thread for connecting a DSLR camera.
In addition, 2" filters can be screwed into the rotator.
This Apo is a small, handy all-rounder with outstanding optical and mechanical properties!
