The AC 210/1200 optics - In this telescope, Tecnosky offers a refractor with a huge aperture: 210 obstruction-free millimetres provide an ability to separate double stars which reflecting telescopes with their bothersome secondary mirrors can only dream of! Due to its large focal ratio of f/6, the lens is also especially high-speed.
With such a fast focal ratio, the achromatic air-spaced doublet is not entirely free of chromatic aberration. It is, therefore, suitable for wide field Deep Sky observation or narrow band photography, for example HII regions with H-alpha filters or photography with OIII filters and SII filters (Hubble palette). Another important field of application is separating and measuring binary stars. These optics can also be used with a DayStar QUARK filter which turns the Goliath into a solar telescope.
This exceptional telescope also enables observation of fine structures on the Moon and planets. The use of the Baader Semi APO filter is recommended here (see accessory recommendation) to suppress colour errors on light structures and increase contrast.
The apochromat's lens tube is made from three millimetre thick, strong aluminium with internal panels and was manufactured in Italy. The Losmandy rails also do not just come from anywhere, they are an original Geoptik product. This Goliath is a true quality product!
