Hyperbolic Flatfield Astrograph ("Hypergraph") with very fast aperture ratio! Thanks to the carbon tube, it is lightweight and ideal for mobile astrophotography!
What is a Hypergraph? These astrographs are perfectly tailored to the modern requirements of digital astrophotography. They have a specially adapted corrector in the focuser. This achieves a perfectly corrected image circle with a space-saving design and moderate secondary mirror diameter. The imaging performance is so good that even modern astro cameras with very high resolution can be used.
Further advantages of the Hypergraph:
- The secondary mirror is built in with the necessary offset, resulting in more uniform illumination of the image field.
- Despite the extreme aperture ratio, the telescope is easy to collimate and maintains collimation well during transport.
- Microfocusing is already built in, which is necessary given the extreme aperture ratio.
- High-quality CNC tube clamps and a Vixen prism rail are included in the scope of delivery.
- The carrying handle with mounting surface and long hole for additional accessories
The camera is best connected to the screw thread of the focuser:
With such a fast lens, a screw-in camera adapter is necessary. This prevents tilting and blurred stars at the edge.
The R&P focuser has a M48x0.75 external thread. The working distance from this thread is exactly 55 mm. This corresponds, for example, to the distance required by a digital single-lens reflex camera (DSLR) with the T2 ring. Astro cameras, such as those from ZWO, are often supplied with an adaptor to M48, which takes this distance into account. It couldn't be easier!
