Armasight NYX-14 is a lightweight and rugged multi-purpose night vision device in a monocular design.
It can be used hands-free with an optional head mount and attached to a camera using adaptors. For observations at longer distances, you can attach ancillary lenses with 3x, 5x or 8x magnification. The Weaver standard adapter rail has a tripod thread, allowing you to mount additional accessories such as powerful IR lighting.
The NYX-14 is based on a monocular design. This allows you to see with one eye, even in complete darkness, while the second eye can react quickly when the light situation changes. This reduces the risk of temporary night blindness.
The built-in infrared illuminator allows observations in complete darkness. Armasight NYX-14 uses state-of-the-art optics and a glass fibre reinforced composite housing. It is designed to meet MIL-SPEC-810 requirements. The automatic gain control adjusts the light amplification depending on the ambient light conditions. The NYX-14 is equipped with an automatic shut-off when looking into bright light sources. This system monitors the existing light level via light receptors.
The Armasight NYX-14 is suitable for outdoor enthusiasts and hunters, security personnel and research.
The QSi (Quick Silver) technology gives you a higher resolution of at least 47-54 LP/mm, and you get a black and white image. This allows you to see more differences in contrast compared to conventional image intensifier tubes.
