More about the series BT...

Large binoculars from the BT series by EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC

At night, observe the beauty of the starry sky and, during the day, distant objects in nature. Globular clusters, luminous gas nebulae, the moon with its craters and even planets can be observed wonderfully on a clear night. But all other distant objects in nature and the landscape, even ships and aeroplanes, can be seen in detail.

Thanks to the large, light-gathering objectives and state-of-the-art coatings on all lens surfaces, these binoculars produce bright and brilliant images even at night and at dusk, offering a special viewing experience. The comfortable 45-degree viewing angle allows fatigue-free use even when the binoculars are tilted at a steep angle.

A large binocular can also be described as a double refractor telescope.
Each eye has a complete lens telescope with full light-gathering power. Experience a whole new dimension of vision. Objects are rendered almost three-dimensionally in these binoculars, and observation with both eyes is very relaxed. Last but not least, this comfortable way of observation increases the visibility of the finest details and effectively prevents rapid eye fatigue.

Extremely robust binoculars with magnesium housing, sealed and filled with nitrogen.
The binoculars in the BT series are designed for tough outdoor use. The IPX6-rated, nitrogen-filled design effectively prevents the internal optics from fogging up, even in difficult weather conditions. The very lightweight magnesium housing saves weight and makes handling easier.

Two 20 mm eyepieces from the 62° LER series are included in the scope of delivery.
EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC is a manufacturer of extremely high-quality eyepieces that has been established in the astronomy scene for many years. With an apparent field of view of 62° and a focal length of 20 mm, these wide-angle eyepieces offer a very good overview at moderate magnification. The long eye relief of these LER eyepieces (15 mm) and soft, reversible eyecups also guarantee comfortable and relaxed viewing.

For astronomy, a flattened image field that is sharp right to the edge is advantageous and also offers a particularly impressive viewing experience during the day. Thanks to their waterproof design and argon filling, these eyepieces are completely insensitive and easy to clean.

Scope of delivery:

  • Large binoculars with carrying handle
  • Two ES 20 mm 62° LER series eyepieces
  • Dust caps for lenses and eyepiece mounts
