New Atom: Price-conscious binoculars with Porro prism, BK-7 glass optics and fully coated lenses. Optical design: 5 elements in 3 groups.
The housing is made of aluminium alloy with IPX3 splash protection. The dioptre adjustment allows the binoculars to be adjusted to the user's vision. Tripod mounting is possible via a photo thread.
The series includes models with fixed and variable magnification.
The Levenhuk New Atom 8x40 binoculars are the perfect allrounder. Their BK-7 glass optics feature fully coated lenses and offer 8x magnification with 40 mm lenses. This ensures high image quality in both bright daylight and twilight, delivering sharp images with excellent contrast and true-to-life colour reproduction. The aluminium alloy body is relatively lightweight and, thanks to IPX3 certification, provides reliable protection against precipitation. This model offers excellent value for money.
One of the strengths of this model, given its magnification, is its large field of view and actual viewing angle (8.2°). The minimum distance is 12 m, which is standard for optics in this class.
Focusing is achieved via a large, central focusing wheel with a comfortable rubberised surface and smooth operation. The interpupillary distance can be adjusted between 56 mm and 72 mm to suit most users. Diopter correction is available in a range of ±3. The binoculars have a tripod adapter connection (adaptors sold separately), which is very useful for longer stationary observations.
Levenhuk New Atom 8x40 Binoculars come with essential accessories for comfortable use: protection caps for eyepieces and lenses, a carrying strap, a microfibre cleaning cloth for the optics, and a storage bag.
