These binoculars have courage! Not only do they strike the perfect balance between 8x and 10x, they also feature a gap for improved grip. Ergonomically hard to beat, the new DCF BR 9x42 with its open bridge design has all the features that distinguish the entire PENTAX roof prism binocular series: smc multi-coating on all lenses, internal focusing, water and dust proof, nitrogen filling and phase correction coating on the BaK4 prisms. The polycarbonate body weighs only 665 grams and has 4-stop, helicoid eyepiece cups.

The DCF 9x42 BR also features, for the first time, the "Super Reflection Coating" known and appreciated from PENTAX camera lenses for brilliant imaging performance in almost all applications.

• SMC multi-coating
  All air lens surfaces are multi-coated for maximum transmission and colour brilliance
• "Super Reflection Coating" on the BaK4 prisms and phase correction
  The silver coating on the roof prism achieves a transmission of 95-98%. Phase correction reduces image errors.

  for fast and precise focusing. The close focus range of only 2.5 metres allows observation of dragonflies, butterflies and plants from a short distance.
