Convertible 3-in-1 binoculars
- Binocular function: Can be used as conventional binoculars with 4x magnification.
- Monocular function: Separating the two tubes allows use as two individual monoculars with 4x magnification. Unlike binoculars, where the interpupillary distance and diopter must be adjusted individually for each observer, these monoculars allow the user to focus on the object using only the focusing unit.
- Telescope function: Placing the two tubes together allows them to be used as a telescope with 16x magnification.
Exceptional optical performance
All reflective surfaces of the optical elements and prisms have been treated with "Full Multi Coating" to prevent strong reflections. The roof prisms have been treated with a phase coating and the auxiliary prisms with a super-high-reflective dielectric multi-layer coating. This gives the PENTAX VD 4X20 WP significantly improved light transmission and outstanding imaging performance with a bright, sharp, high-contrast view of the subject while minimising stray light and ghost images.
Waterproof and washable housing
The PENTAX VD 4X20 WP has a weather-resistant construction in accordance with JIS Class 7 and can therefore withstand accidental immersion in up to 1 m of water. This means that the binoculars can be used in all weather conditions and can be easily rinsed clean with water if they become dirty.
