Maksutov telescopes
Maksutov telescopes are very compact and therefore ideally suited for portable use or for when travelling. The enclosed optics and collimation stability with Maksutovs ensure their robustness.
Maksutov telescopes have a very long focal length despite their compact design. But the field of view is rather narrow when compared to achromatic refractor telescopes. However, this combination makes Maksutov telescopes ideal instruments for observing the Moon and planets. And when equipped with an Amici prism, they are also very well suited to nature-watching and nature photography.
The Mak-Fast is a high-quality, powerful maksutov-cassegrain telescope. This compact and easy-to-transport telescope is ideal for night sky observation, especially the moon and planets. As the image is upright and non-reversed, you can also use it for nature observation during the day. The optical system is multi-coated for maximum contrast and sharpness. You can also take photographs with the telescope using your smartphone via the included smartphone adapter.
The name FAST stands for the patented friction focuser. Instead of the usual focus knob, which has to be turned many times, these telescopes are equipped with a friction focuser that is operated via two adjustment knobs. This moves the primary mirror to set the correct focus. It also includes a useful focus scale that marks the distances 8 m, 17 m and infinity. This focuser really allows you to quickly set the correct focus without frequent trial and error.
The telescope is compact and light enough to easily take with you on your next trip.
The telescope can be mounted on any photo tripod using the 1/4" photographic thread. You can also mount it on astronomical mounts using the prism rail.
