More about the series Messier...

The traditional company Bresser offers telescopes for ambitious beginners at an excellent price-performance ratio under the name Messier. The Messier telescope systems are expandable and retrofittable, so they can be used far beyond the initial entry point.

The Messier NT-203/1200 optics enable observations that were not possible in this price range just a few years ago. The NT-203/1200 offers even better sharpness and contrast for planetary observation due to the longer focal length and minimal obstruction. The abundance of structures and details on Jupiter's surface are breathtaking.

However, the Messier NT-203/1200 is not only good for planetary observation. Explore structures in distant galaxies and be fascinated by the wisps of emission nebulae in the vastness of the Milky Way. Observe the remnants of exploded giant stars and observe the birthplaces of new stars with the Messier NT-203/1200.

Marvel at the beauties of the universe with this larger-than-average device!

New - with immediate effect, this telescope comes with the new improved Hexafoc focuser. This focuser has a free aperture of 65mm! For photographic use in particular, it can be retrofitted with a 1:10 reduction ratio fine focuser (see 'Recommended Accessories'). This allows more precise focus adjustment.

The mounting Bresser EXOS-2:

The EXOS-2 is a robust mounting with high bearing capacity (up to 13 kg visual, 10 kg photographic) and precise setpoint tracing for visual watchings and for astro-photography.
Double radical rill-bearings make the function precise and the optimated RA-axes don´t let much play. Further, the very robust, precise worked mounting allows an easy entrance in astro-photography. A motorical 2-axes control can be added.

includes:

  • robust mounting
  • agreed counter weight
  • robust 3-leg tripod made of steel

The GoTo system for the EXOS 2 from Bresser helps even beginners to observe celestial objects, which would be very difficult or impossible to find without GoTo, in just a few minutes. By simply pressing a button, the GoTo system slews the telescope to the planet, nebula or galaxy you have selected and tracks it fully automatically. The database contains over 100,000 objects. You can observe celestial objects with the Messier series GoTo telescope without long searches, or photograph faint objects that you would not even be able to find using classical location methods!

It not only matters which telescope you buy but also where you buy it. Our additional services:

  • We are a leading telescope dealer and know the devices we sell. Our customer service team will gladly help you after your purchase if you have problems with assembly or operation.
  • We provide a copy of the 80-page Telescope ABC beginners handbook with every telescope.
  • We also provide an edition of the exciting astronomy magazine, “Sterne und Weltraum” with each telescope.

Customer reviews

good scope, poor guiding system

Review by M. V. on 20.01.2024 18:25:09

( 3 / 5 )

Telescope itself is very good, I use it for both - planetary imaging and deep space photography, however the EXOS 2 system is quite poorly designed. Tracking is super sensitive to balancing, you need to be 100% balanced otherwise tracking is lagging behind and you cant do long exposures/target goes out of field of view. Object finding is not precise even with telescope being aligned by 3 star method. Whoever designed the controller deserves a special place in hell. It beeps very loudly. Directional arrow buttons are too close together to settings menu - when working outside with gloves on it is easy to press the wrong button and put telescope in the alignment mode. It comes supplied with a battery power pack - it is completely rubbish, you will get at very best some 2-3h of proper voltage out of it, after that - as voltage starts to drop, the tracking starts to lag more and more - so proper power pack is needed.
