The astrograph for large sensors
Do you take photographs with full-frame or large CCD sensors? Then you’ll be familiar with the problem: many lenses are sharp in the centre, but the edges become blurry. The Omegon Pro APO AP 90/450 Quintuplet is in a league of its own. It delivers sharp, point-like stars – right out to the very edges and across the entire field of view
The advantages at a glance
- 55 mm image diagonal: The full-frame sensor is evenly illuminated, right down to the very last corner
- ED quintuplet optics; five lenses, three of which are made from ED glass. Delivers colour-accurate images without distracting colour fringing
- f/5 aperture ratio: For fast shutter speeds and bright images
- Integrated rotation & tilt: Use this to align your subject precisely without having to laboriously adjust the mount
- 3.7" focuser with reduction gear; safely supports heavy cameras whilst maintaining a stable focus
- Versatile mountings: M48, M54, M68 (male & female) for maximum flexibility
- Carrying handle with integrated ArcaSwiss rail for attaching photographic accessories
Guaranteed quality
Every instrument is interferometrically tested in Germany. This ensures that this outstanding instrument delivers its full performance when used by the customer.
Wide range of mounting options
M48x0.7, M54x0.75 and M68x0.68 male connectors, as well as M68x0.75 female connectors
Sharpness for every Pixel
Large sensors are unforgiving. The 130/650 Quintuplet is built precisely for this purpose. The optical correction extends to a sensor diagonal of 55 mm. This means: point-like stars, even in the corners. No mushy edges. No deterioration towards the image edge. The quintuplet design with three ED elements makes all the difference. Conventional triplets reach their limits here. This five-element optical system corrects spherical aberrations, chromatic aberrations and field curvature significantly better. You get a large, usable field of view with high contrast.
Triplet ED: Clear imaging of the highest standard
Three ED lenses form the heart of the telescope and reduce chromatic aberration to a minimum. Images are neutral and free from distracting colour fringing around bright stars. This optical quality makes post-processing easier.
Rotation and Tilt: The subject is always in the right position
Is the target not perfectly aligned with the sensor? With the integrated rotation function, you can rotate the field of view into the correct position in seconds. The tilt mechanism provides additional control. Particularly useful for mosaics or slightly tilted camera sensors.
3.7" focuser: Stable, even under heavy loads
Heavy camera, filter wheel, off-axis-guider: the focuser supports everything reliably. The reduction gear enables precise focusing. Even in frosty conditions, the position remains stable. The generous back focus provides scope for different camera set-ups without the need for constant readjustment.
Connections for every situation
M48, M54, M68 male and female. This gives you flexibility when attaching cameras, Filters and other accessories.
