High resolution
Like no other binoculars, the SHG series from DDoptics combines extremely high image resolution with sharp detail right to the very edge of the field of view. Stray light and chromatic aberrations are almost completely eliminated through the use of sophisticated processes and the highest quality materials.
The body
of the ‘SHG’ series is made of magnesium, enabling the binoculars to survive a fall from a considerable height unscathed. The newly developed grip ensures that the SHG series binoculars virtually ‘stick’ to your hands, making it almost impossible for them to slip or slide out of your grasp, even in the rain.
The easily interchangeable metal eyepiece cups
are made of metal and feature 4 clearly defined settings. For cleaning, the eyepiece cups can be unscrewed anti-clockwise and removed.
Newly developed coating & nano-coating
A multi-layer coating on all glass surfaces ensures optimal, loss-free light transmission. The nano-coating allows water to simply roll off – the ‘lotus effect’.
True internal focusing with central diopter
The dioptre adjustment features true internal focusing, making the SHG binoculars robust, waterproof and dustproof. The dioptre is fixed.
Non-slip focus wheel
Neither too light nor too stiff, the focus point can be adjusted perfectly. The adjustment range has been deliberately set slightly wider to ensure that the perfect visual acuity is always achieved.
Wide field of view
The newly developed grip ensures that the SHG series binoculars virtually ‘stick’ to your hands, making it almost impossible for them to slip or slide out of your grasp, even in the rain. The fields of view of the SHG binoculars are also premium. 141.75 m for the SHG 8x42 and 115.5 m for the SHG 10x42 impress in particular with their sharpness of detail right to the very edge.
Field Flattener
Generous fields of view, razor-sharp right to the edge with virtually no distortion. Field-flattener eyepieces shift the focal points of the Petzval field curvature so that they lie in the same plane.
Light transmission
The SHG binoculars offer the highest possible light transmission of up to 93% as well as a completely new viewing experience characterised by colour brilliance, contrast and brightness. This is made possible by a newly developed FLK glass material from Japan, the coating of the prisms with a dielectric, and a newly developed anti-reflective coating. Field-flattener eyepieces reduce the distortion in SHG binoculars to such an extent that visible distortion is virtually impossible to provoke, even at the edges, without triggering the notorious globe effect.
