Optics – System H2
The System H2 optics of the Vantage HD range combine phase-corrected BAK-4 roof prisms with a fully multi-coated optical system. This improves light transmission, image sharpness and colour fidelity, producing a clear, high-contrast and natural viewing experience. The nitrogen-purged construction is waterproof and fog proof, ensuring reliable optical performance even in changing weather conditions.
Vantage HD 8x42
The Hawke Vantage HD 8x42 is a versatile all-round binocular for nature observation, birdwatching, hiking and travel. Its combination of 8x magnification and light-gathering 42 mm objective lenses provides a steady, bright viewing experience while offering additional performance in less favourable lighting conditions.
With a field of view of 124 metres at 1,000 metres, the Vantage HD 8x42 provides a wide overview and makes it easier to locate and follow moving subjects. The 5.3 mm exit pupil contributes to a pleasantly bright image, particularly in overcast conditions or during the early morning and evening.
A close focus distance of just 2 metres also allows detailed observation of nearby subjects. With 17 mm of eye relief and twist-up eye cups, the binocular provides comfortable viewing. Despite its larger objective lenses, the 8x42 remains easy to carry at 595 grams, making it an excellent choice for extended observation sessions and versatile outdoor use.
