With the new XD44 PROMINAR binocular series, Kowa has consistently expanded its product line to meet the highest demands of its discerning users.
New technologies have made it possible to realise the goal of lifelike vision.
The C³ coating developed by Kowa is one of these new technologies. It maximises the reflectivity of the roof prism and minimises light loss, resulting in bright, high-contrast, detailed and colour-fast image reproduction right to the extreme edges.
This coating technology is already used in the KOWA BD42 and BD32 binocular series currently on the market. It is a key component of the new high-end binoculars now being introduced, which are marketed in Europe under the name "XD44 Prominar" and in the USA under the name "Genesis 44".
Two "Prominar" XD lens elements eliminate chromatic aberration to the point where it is no longer perceptible. The lightweight and extremely robust magnesium housing is waterproof and filled with dry nitrogen to prevent fogging.
This binocular series offers a large field of view, a lockable diopter adjustment and rotating eyepiece cups for fatigue-free observation.
The close focus is 1.7 m.
Very harmonious design, fits very comfortably in the hand.
Thanks to the above features, this 44 mm binocular series (almost 10% brighter than a 42 mm lens) is also ideal for bird watching or other animal and nature observation at dusk or in diffuse lighting conditions.
