Optika B-810PH phase contrast laboratory microscope
The Optika B-810PH is the phase contrast kit from the B-810 series designed for universities, biological laboratories and microbiological applications involving transparent or unstained specimens. It is aimed at users who wish to visualise structures that are only faintly visible or lack contrast under conventional bright-field illumination.
The kit comprises an upright trinocular phase contrast microscope with infinity optics, 1000x total magnification and IOS W-Plan PH lenses with magnifications of 10x, 20x, 40x and 100x oil. The Siedentopf trinocular head is inclined at 30°, rotates through 360° and features a 50/50 light split for simultaneous observation and camera adaptation.
The integrated X-LED³ lighting provides bright, white transmitted light with an output of 3.6 W, manual brightness control and a service life of over 65,000 hours. In conjunction with full Köhler lighting, light guidance, contrast and resolution can be precisely adjusted. This is particularly advantageous for unstained biological samples, microbiological specimens and teaching materials with low intrinsic contrast.
A key difference from the B-810BF is the multi-position condenser. This is designed for brightfield, phase contrast and dry dark field and has five positions: BF, 10x/20x, 40x, 100x and DF. This makes the B-810PH more versatile when, in addition to phase contrast, brightfield or dark field for dry applications is required.
